~ GONE BANANAS ~
Lately in New England... I've been hanging on this branch
A feeling I've GONE BANANAS... at my "Pine Tree State" ranch
I'm feeling like a monkey... not quite myself these days
With lacking most my limbs... In hopes mentality stays
I've been hanging here, with the pitch too long
With aching arms... that failed to be strong
You'd think with all... this monkeying around
I'd get a break... down there on the ground
No other use for these unloaded arms, since my loved one's gone
That daily squeeze of love.. was much like sap that held me on
Grasping it alone... a heartache, I wished would bail
I suppose it is a good thing... to have left, two legs and a tail
For when the time... my arms bore doubt
I was quite certain... my heart would give out
Clung so tightly... my legs were wrapped around
I fondly reminisced... of True Love that once was found
I closed my eyes; in wonder, "How will my love prevail"
Distracted by a Bee..itch ~ I went and grabbed my tail
Much Crap there was... upon each shoe
Soon enough... they had flown off, too
Losing both my legs... left me clinging in the buff
This hanging on a limb stuff... is extremely... extremity tough
Especially... when dangling... hanging upside down
I'm not yet ready...to retire my Princesses crown
I suppose it is a good thing... that I still possess my tail
A place to hang YOUR, WELCOME sign... this TALE is "NOT FOR SALE"
