Welcome the Night
Beautiful desire what has become?
I wake up this morning with my face to a gun,
Its all right to pretend, Its ok to be a fake
You pull it off with a defined style and grace
I survive the night and welcome the day
My black eyes fade with the sound of your name
Please go away, I have nothing more to say
You’re not worth my words or the breath I take
The sunglasses that shade your face
Block the tears rolling down your cheek
I know this hurts, I know you’re insane
But this time I am not the one to blame
Shade your face, they will see you’re a fake
Shade your eyes, you made a mistake
Shade the story and make your own
This time you are all alone
Fade with the day and welcome the night
Now that you are gone I know that this is right
This is the last time, I let you fake the words you spray,
Like a shotgun message, I can feel this in my spine,
If only you had one, yet you still pretend

this really expresses felling of doubt and relief at the same time. using a gun to make feelings really gets he message across
