The Knight and the Princess
The most delicate of voices
Trembles at his maiden's door
Shall he enter so dignified
As he's always done before?
Doubt has found its enemy
And traveled far to seek
A joyous soul, and comforting smile
As she's winding down the peak
Once a treasure held so dear
He claimed from force above
To find he had a change of heart
And did not deserve her love
Chances played and pieces lost
She once hoped he would find
Nevermore to shed the light
While knowing he was blind
She smiled and kissed his feverish hand
And calmed his anguished cries
Inaudible promise of her love
Will aid her as she dies
A savior lost and never found
Will leave as he's done before
From final words upon her tomb
"I will love you nevermore."

I like this one. It reminds me of the story me and my boyfriend are writing. This poem inspired me =]
