OH, SAY CAN YOU SEE?
This look of confusion and feeling of dispair.
Is it like a disease floating through air?
Washington leaders tells us no,
But our employers tell us to pack up, it is time to go.
Thanks to the government, our jobs are sent overseas.
Can we not keep some jobs for Americans please?
We stand in line at the Employment Security Commission,
Overwhelmed by the numbers they cannot complete thier mission.
Homes are lost, families are torn apart.
We are the bullseye, foreign trade is the dart.
More hardships are to come,
Worse for others than it is for some.
When making your rounds applying for aid,
You find that if you was female with six kids, you'd have it made.
If you try to make ends meet by touching your retirement plan,
You will get a tax due notice from the IRS man.
Borrow from your childrens college fund you thought,
The idea was enough to make you distraught.
It is hard to bare these thoughts any longer.
What happened to this country, why isn't it stronger?
Fundamentally, the thought of spreading our wealth
To countries who are financially in bad health,
Has caught up with us at last.
Now it's a pit bull dog biting us on our ass!

Genius and true. All over the world - Ireland, US, Britain, what can us normal folk do? The governments haven't been 'our public servants' for a while now...
