FATHER
Hello Father, it's been a long time
I haven't seen you for many years
Thirty, to be exact.
You caused me to shed many tears.
A decorated veteran
You served in two wars
I can barely remember you
Remembering, I need not anymore.
Memories send chills down my back
You built a wall seperating you from us.
When I climbed over the wall to take a peek
You threw empty liqour bottles and began to cuss.
Now as I see you lying in you casket
I can't help but to wonder
What it would have been like
To have a father that I was found of.
