Permenant Winter
...and I
P A N I C
with ice water
running between my fingers.
Seeping Arctic streams
flowing over these palms,
beg to tell my future
in a voice that rings
of past regret.
Hands retracting
into balls of self restraint,
I tremor,
and spiritual winter
invades my bones.
...and I
S C R E A M
with vessels
of dark red clotting
behind a set of eyes
that I've sewn shut
with clumsy, hurried
movements.
Visions of
my own homicidal dancing
are so freshly tattooed
behind my eyelids,
that the ink leaks and catches
on my lashes,
as my cheeks are stained
with permanent
blue-black tears.
...and I
R A G E
as damnation piles around my feet.
Heaven's manna...
the recipe inverted,
and flowing from the ground to the sky,
proposes to suffocate
any attempt I make
to move away from this devastation.
The voice of this wind
calls my name with such
high decibel demands,
that my eardrums
SHATTER...
...and I
S T O P.
Blind, deaf, and immobile
I have nowhere left to go.
Snow-ash
becomes my genetic destiny,
and petrified becomes my form.
I am undead breathing
winter
in a world where summer
has ceased to exist.
