You Live in My Mind

You live
In my lonely mind
You pass thru my thoughts
Like the white clouds
In the field of my memory

You,
Who make me tremble
At the thought of you
Near the sky and the stars
You make me quiver

If I could escape
From this earthly body
And leave this world
I’d grow white wings
I’d climb the highest mountains
Looking for you
Searching for you
In the green fields
The ocean, the rivers
The countries past the cities
the churches
Past the towns and the gatherings

Yet I cannot find you
You are nowhere
Only here
In my thoughts
living
In my lonely mind
