From Dusk to Dawn
From Dusk to Dawn
The moon floats blue
in skies blood red,
where angels and dragons
seek their unearthly beds.
Time here is fleet
not long can mortals stay,
I would beg for more time
but I forgot how to pray.
One last dragon takes wing
the littlest angel hides a yawn,
as distant mountains reflect
rainbows into a cosmic dawn.
Paling stars wink out
as the dawn bursts free,
to cry her crimson tears
across an opaline sea.
