perspective

there is no need for you to smile
not even wave, nor cry

because i will remember you
in the parks, on the streets
in front of the shop, at night
in the name of a magazine
in the church bell
on my nightstand, in my eye

in every season and every day
of every season
each of them has a different name
for me now

in people you will never see again
in people i will never see again
in places that still hold the smell
of us

the shadow of two figures sleeping
as if there would be no other place
as peaceful as this one in the world

i will remember you in all the things
you touched and loved and broke

in numbers, names and nothingness.

i will remember, smile and walk away.
